Weekly Theme: Olympics

I might not be the correct person to talk about this, cause I am not sure where I stand on it.

The Olympics by some are considered a monster, by some nothing more than sports and the athletes. The IOC have said they will create a positive experience and help the city of Vancouver. However there are a lot of groups devoted to good causes that believe IOC has done little to nothing to solve issues of poverty, prostitution, and drugs.

Have the Games over the years changed? My memory only goes back to the 1996 Games but now it just seems like the Corporations are running the Games and making billions of dollars at the expense of the athletes and hosting city.

Like I said before, I might just sound like a hypocrite. I will be attending festivities and paying to see hockey games & snowboarding events. I have definitely given my share of dollars to the Moneyman.
